A bronze figure of Buddha Shakyamuni China, Ming dynasty, 15th/16th century H. 24 cm Seated with legs crossed on a lotus base placed on three tapering feet, his right hand lowered in the bhumisparshamudra while the left is resting on his lap, wearing monastic garment including underskirt fastened around his middle with a ribbon knotted to the front and a mantle covering both shoulders, his face displaying a serene expression with downcast eyes, elongated earlobes, the curled hairdo continuing into the ushnisha and topped with a lotus bud, traces of gilt -and red-lacquer European private collection - Minor wear, slightly chipped Bronze des Buddha Shakyamuni China, Ming-Dynastie, 15./ 16.Jh. H. 24 cm Er sitzt mit gekreuzten Beinen auf einem Lotussockel, der auf drei sich verjüngenden Füßen ruht; seine rechte Hand ist im Bhumisparshamudra gesenkt, während die linke auf seinem Schoß ruht. Er trägt eine Mönchsgewandung, bestehend aus einem Unterrock, der um die Taille mit einem vorne geknoteten Band befestigt ist, und einem Mantel, der beide Schultern bedeckt.
