A BRONZE FIGURE OF PROBABLY VISHNU North-East India or Tibet, 12th cent. H. 20,9 cm Standing in samapada on a lotus base placed on a stepped throne, his four arms radiating around his body, his principle hands showing varadamudra and a vase, both secondary ones club and chakra, wearing dhoti, upavita, garland draped around his shoulders, bejewelled, his face displaying a serene expression with almond-shaped eyes below arched eyebrows, his blue coloured hairdo secured with a tiara decorated with a pair of pattras and a halo behind, the reverse of the base with short dedicatory inscription. H. 20,9 cm Stehend in Samapada auf einem Lotussockel, der auf einem Stufenthron steht, seine vier Arme strahlenförmig um seinen Körper, seine Haupthände zeigen Varadamudra und eine Vase, die beiden sekundären Keule und Chakra, er trägt Dhoti, Upavita, eine Girlande um seine Schultern drapiert, sein Gesicht zeigt einen heiteren Ausdruck mit mandelförmigen Augen unter gewölbten Augenbrauen, seine blaue Frisur ist mit einem Diadem gesichert, das mit einem Paar Pattras und einem Heiligenschein dahinter verziert ist, die Rückseite des Sockels trägt eine kurze Widmungsinschrift.
