A nine-panel silk and wood screen China, 19th cent. 176 x 277 cm A wide central panel flanked by eight narrower panels, each featuring carved landscape and figure motifs in low relief, with mother-of-pearl inlay all around; the silk embroidery depicting vivid scenes of numerous birds and other animals, including pheasants, swallows, deer and fo lions.
