A carved ivory Okimono of a farmer sitting on a branch Japan, sign. Seiryo, late 19th c. H. 8,4 cm Peasant, sitting on a strongly branched camellia trunk. In front of him a tub, in his right hand a sickle, the object (possibly a pipe) in his left hand missing. Signed on an inset red lacquer plate: Seiryo. From an old private collection in the Hunsrück region, acquired in the 1990s - Publ. in: Lempertz Köln, Auction 697, 26/27 Nov. 1993, lot 832 - The EU trade certificate for the sale of this lot has been granted - Little damaged, minor rep. Okimono aus Elfenbein eines Bauers, der auf einem Ast sitzt Japan, sign. Seiryo, spätes 19. Jh. H. 8,4 cm Bauer, auf einem stark verzweigten Kamelienstamm sitzend. Vor ihm ein Bottich, in der Rechnten eine Sichel, die Gegenstand (Pfeife) in der Linken fehlt. Sign. auf eingelassenem Rotlackplättchen: Seiryo. Aus einer alten Hunsrücker Privatsammlung, in den 1990er Jahren erworben - Publ. in: Lempertz Köln, Auktion 697, 26./27. Nov. 1993, Lot 832 - Die EU-Verkaufsgenehmigung für dieses Lot liegt vor - Wenig beschädigt, minim. rep.
