A finely carved and partly painted ivory Okimono of "Takeshiuchi no Sukune" Japan, inlaid red lacquer seal mark "Shodo" (Asaoka Shodo), Taisho period H. 21,5 cm It depicts the episode from the legend "Taketori monogatari", in which the old bamboo cutter Sanuki finds the little moon child Teruko, the later Emperor Ojin.
