A carve ivorz Okimono of Sōjōbō with monkeys Japan, late 19th c. H. 6,5 cm Sōjōbō, the Tengu king, and a monkey carry a basket filled with fruit, another monkey trying to catch it. Pupils and tip of the hat made of horn. From an old private collection in the Hunsrück region, acquired in the 1990s - Publ. in: Lempertz Köln, Auction 666, 31 May/ 1 June 1991, Lot 1084 - The EU trade certificate for the sale of this lot has been granted - Chipped to the branches Okimono aus Elfenbein des Sōjōbō mit Affen Japan, spätes 19.
