An ivory okimono of a warrior on a horsback Japan, Meiji period H. 7,5 cm, L. 6 cm Finely carved ivory okimono of a rider on horseback, holding a sword and a radish, barefoot and without a saddle, representing an Ainu of Hokkaido. Weight: 79 g From an old North German private collection, documented 1995 on a collector's card- The EU trade certificate for the sale of this lot is available - Minor wear Okimono aus Elfenbein mit Darstellung eines Kriegers hoch zu Ross Japan, Meiji - Periode H. 7,5 cm, L. 6 cm Fein geschnitzte Darstellung eines Reiters auf einem Pferd, in der linken Hand ein Schwert, in der rechten einen Rettich haltend. Bekleidet mit schlichter Kleidung, ohne Helm und barfuß, sitzt er ohne Sattel auf dem Pferd. Aufgrund dieser Merkmale ist davon auszugehen, dass es sich um einen Ainu handelt, einen Ureinwohner Japans von der Nordinsel Hokkaido. Gewicht:79 g.
