An ivory netsuke of a rakan Japan, 18th cent. H. 5,7 cm The old rakan with an emaciated chest is sitting on a flat rock, the robe is stripped from the shoulder and leaves the entire upper body exposed. A äsimilar model is depicted in the Sôken kishô of 1781. H. 5,7 cm Der alte Rakan mit ausgemergeltem Brustkörper sitzt auf einem flachen Felsen, das Gewand ist von der Schulter gestreift und lässt den ganzen Oberkörper frei.
