A silk velvet chair runner with lotus and bats China, 18th/19th cent. 168 x 53 cm Red silk velvet with additional pattern weft: silk (pink, light blue, beige) and metallic thread. Beige-brown lining.The narrow, long runner is divided into four sections corresponding to positions on the armchair. The seat features a large lotus medallion surrounded by four treasures with fluttering ribbons. The front of the backrest features a lotus flower surrounded by five bats; the back features a lotus flower surrounded by smaller blossoms. The same design is also found on the panel hanging from the front of the seat. Frame border with lotus tendrils. From an old South German private collection, assembled prior to 1990 - Slight traces of age and use Stuhlbehang aus Seidensamt mit Lotos und Fledermäusen China, 18. / 19. Jh. 168 x 53 cm Roter Seidensamt mit zusätzlichem Musterschuss: Seide (Rosa, Hellblau, Beige) und Metallfaden. Beigebrauner Futterstoff.Der schmale lange Behang entsprechend der Positionierung auf dem Lehnstuhl in vier Bereiche aufgeteilt. Der Sitz mit einem großen Lotosmedaillon, umgeben von vier Schätzen mit flatternden Bändern. Die Rückenlehne vorne mit Lotosblüte umgeben von fünf Fledermäusen, hinten mit einer Lotosblüten umgeben von kleineren Blüten, gleicher Dekor auch auf dem Stück, das vom Sitz vorne herabhängt. Rahmenbordüre mit Lotosranken. Alte süddeutsche Privatsammlung, vor 1990 gesammelt - Leichte Spuren von Alter und Gebrauch
