A BRONZE FIGURE OF VISHNU South-India, Nayak period, 18th/ 19th cent. H. 13,5 cm Standing in samapada on a lotus base placed on a plinth, his principle hands in varadamudra and originally holding a club, both upper ones with chakra and shankha, wearing dhoti, bejewelled, his face displaying a serene expression and his head topped with the kiritamakuta. German private collection, according to the family purchased in the mid-1980s - Minor traces of age BRONZE DES VISHNU Südindien, Nayak-Periode, 18./19. Jahrhundert. H. 13,5 cm Stehend in Samapada auf einem Lotussockel, der auf einem Sockel platziert ist, seine Haupthände in Varadamudra und ursprünglich eine Keule haltend, beide oberen mit Chakra und Shankha, Dhoti tragend, mit Juwelen geschmückt, sein Gesicht mit einem heiteren Ausdruck und sein Kopf mit dem Kiritamakuta gekrönt.
