Anonymous painter: Still life - daffodils, prunus and lingzhi mushrooms, with calligraphy and commentary by Li Renren (1887-1968) China, 17th c. and Republic period, dated 1943 48 x 34.8 cm/ 21 x 50 cm (197 x 50 cm) Ink and colours on silk, mounted as a hanging scroll. Still life (qinggong tu) with spring flowers and lingzhi mushrooms. In the upper area of the mount a title field with commentary in grass script by Li Renren, in which he dated the picture to the Ming dynasty. Dated the 32nd year (of the Republic period) [1943], sign. Li Renren, sealed: Li Renren, ci sheng. From an old German private collection, mostly acquired in Asia in the 1960s/1970s, since then in family possession - Painting partially age-damaged, minimally creased Li Renren, whose courtesy name was Chongyi, was from Lingui in Guangxi and was a teacher of Bai Chongxi. In 1910, he joined the Tongmenghui (Chinese Revolutionary Alliance). In the 1930s, he twice served as Director of the Ministry of Education of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. In 1948, he became a member of the Central Committee of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese People's Party (Kuomingdang). Aus einer alten deutschen Privatsammlung, größtenteils in den 1960er/1970er Jahren in Asien erworben, seitdem in Familienbesitz - Malerei partiell Alterssch., minim. Knitter Li Renren mit dem Höflichkeitsnamen Chongyi, stammte aus Lingui in Guangxi und war Lehrer von Bai Chongxi. 1910 trat er der Tongmenghui (Chinesischen Revolutionsallianz) bei.
