A BRONZE FIGURE OF VISHNU Cambodia, Khmerm, Bayon period, 13th cent. H. 18,3 cm (o.S.) Standing in samapada on a rectangular plinth, his four arms radiating around his body, the hands party holding attributes, wearing sampot fastened around his middle with a girdle decorated with ornaments, a flange falling to its front and back, bejewelled, his face displaying a serene expression with almond-shaped eyes below ridged eyebrows, elongated earlobes with pendeloque ear rings, his hair combed in a chignon and secured with a tiara, on stand. Stehend in Samapada auf einem rechteckigen Sockel, seine vier Arme strahlenförmig um seinen Körper, die Hände halten Attribute, er trägt ein Sampot, das um seine Mitte mit einem Gürtel befestigt ist, der mit Ornamenten verziert ist, ein Flansch, der nach vorne und hinten abfällt, mit Juwelen besetzt, sein Gesicht zeigt einen heiteren Ausdruck mit mandelförmigen Augen unter geriffelten Augenbrauen, verlängerte Ohrläppchen mit hängenden Ohrringen, sein Haar ist zu einem Chignon gekämmt und mit einem Diadem gesichert, auf einem Ständer.
