A Chinese Porcelain Armorial Plate, circa 1724, painted in famille verte enamels with the arms of Cock quartering Roach (?) impaling Trevor within diaper and scroll borders and precious objects 22.5cm diameter A Similar Coffee Cup, painted with an armorial and motto See Sanctuary (Howard David) Chinese Armorial Porcelain, pg.199, for a discussion of the Cock service Plate - broken in two pieces and with an old staple repair to the reverse. No fritting. Glaze, enamels and gilding in good order. The well has sagged slightly in the kiln causing the plate not to sit on the footrim Cup - good condition. No damage or repair. Some slight wear to the gilding at the rim
