A gilt-, black- and red-lacquered bronze figure of Buddha Shakyamuni Thailand, Rattanakosin period, 19th c. H. 72,5 cm Seated in sattvasana on a lotus base placed on a pedestal, his right hand lowered in bhumisparshamudra while the left rests in his lap, wearing uttarasangha and samghati decorated with a floral design, his face displaying a serene expression with downcast eyes below arched eyebrows that run into the nose-bridge, elongated earlobes and the spiky hairdo continuing into the ushnisha. H. 72,5 cm Er sitzt im Sattvasana auf einem Lotussockel, der auf einem Podest ruht, seine rechte Hand im Bhumisparshamudra gesenkt, während die linke im Schoß ruht; er trägt Uttarasangha und Samghati, verziert mit einem Blumenmuster; sein Gesicht zeigt einen gelassenen Ausdruck mit gesenkten Augen unter gewölbten Augenbrauen, die in den Nasenrücken verlaufen, lange Ohrläppchen und eine stachelige Frisur, die bis in der Ushnisha endet.
