A Samurai armor 'yoroi' Japan H. 154 cm incl. Kiste/box Consisting of an iron helmet, fitted with a gilded copper maedate featuring raised datemono; the neck is protected by a neck guard with solid plates, known as a shikoro. The iron face mask, ‘Mempo’, takes the form of a man with flared nostrils, an open mouth and a moustache. The body armor consists of iron plates held together by lacing (Sugake-Odoshi) spaced apart by decorative ribbons ranging in colour from violet to salmon; the lower half of the haidate is covered with decorative ribbon lacing, whilst the upper half is fitted withthin decorative ribbons; it is also accompanied by shin guards (suneate) and a pair of shoes, kegutsu, which are lined with fur. Kiste/box Bestehend aus einem Eisenhelm, versehen mit einem vergoldeten Kupfer-Maedate mit erhabenen Datemono; der Hals wird durch einen Halsschutz mit massiven Platten, Shikoro, geschützt. Die Gesichtsmaske aus Eisen, „Mempo“, hat die Gestalt eines Mannes mit geweiteten Nasenflügeln, offenem Mund und Schnurrbart. Die Körperrüstung besteht aus Eisenplatten mit einer durch violetten bis lachsfarbenem Zierbandabstand gehaltenen Schnürung (Sugake-Odoshi); das Haidate ist in der unteren Hälfte mit Zierbandschnürung überzogen und in der oberen Hälfte mit dünnen Zierbändern versehen, dazu Schienbeinschoner (Suneate) sowie ein Paar Schuhe, kegutsu, die mit Fell überzogen sind.
