A RARE JAPANESE CLOISONNE DISH ATTRIBUTED TO NAMIKAWA YASUYUKI (1845-1927) Meiji Period, Kyoto, c.1877 The central roundel depicting two Chinese-style karako children with a mentor and tortoise in opaque standard enamels against a mixed transparent orange and cuprite red ground interspersed with typical cloud patterns, the border divided into sections of blue and black/green transparent enamels with various motifs including floral, prunus, and cracked ice, the reverse with kodai-moyo style phoenixes or Ho-ho against a wired blue ground with karakusa and red circle border, 21.5cm diameter 並河靖之 日本の七宝焼き 唐子 唐草 古代模様 皿 The enamels in overall good condition.
