A finely executed Russian .875 silver and niello vesta case retailed by Tiffany & Co. and executed by Gustav Gustavovich Klingert (1865–1917), a noted master craftsman associated with the House of Faberge. Of rectangular form with a hinged lid, the case is decorated with intricate scrolling motifs rendered in traditional niello. The body bears a central monogram. Stamped to the interior with the maker's mark "G.K." and retailer's mark "Tiffany & Co.," alongside the pictorial city mark of Moscow. Total approx. weight is 1.22 troy oz (gross).
