The design originates from the Neoclassical period (c. 1750–1820) and subsequently became very popular in 19th- and early 20th-century garden architecture. The ram’s head on the side of the urn refer to the god Ares, god of strength. The vases were often used for entrance accents at villas or driveways. Height overall 158 cm. Height of the vase 100 cm. Diameter 70 cm. Pedestal height 58 cm. Square 51cm.
