Arabic manuscript on paper, comprising two lines of elegant black Thuluth script containing two verses from a Sufi poem by Umar Ibn al-Farid. The text is reserved within cloud bands against a gold ground and enclosed by a gold braided border outlined in black. Signed by the scribe as "al-Faqir Umar" and dated 1171 AH. Including frame: 47 by 42 cm. Calligraphy panel: 21.5 by 14.5 cm.
