Rare Chinese bronze funerary amphora cast in a high-copper alloy, richly decorated with intricate gold and silver inlay. The vessel is covered with finely detailed motifs including geometric patterns, stylized clouds, courtly figures, animals, and hunting scenes. The rounded body rises to a short neck and is fitted with two ring handles on the shoulders, each supported by a taotie mask in relief, a traditional protective motif in ancient Chinese bronzes. The surface shows attractive natural patina with areas of green and brown oxidation, highlighting the delicate inlaid decoration. Such vessels were often created as prestige ritual or funerary objects, reflecting the sophisticated metalworking techniques and artistic refinement of early Chinese bronze culture.
