An elegant leporello (accordion-fold) album featuring ten paintings by Zhao Shao’ang. The compositions depict lively birds, flowers, and branches rendered in expressive brushwork and vibrant ink colors, characteristic of modern Chinese painting traditions. Each page unfolds sequentially, creating a continuous visual presentation of the artworks. Size: 33 × 33 cm. Zhao Shao’ang (1905–1998) was a major master of the Lingnan School of Chinese painting. He produced paintings throughout most of the 20th century. Based on the style and typical album format like the one shown, such leporello albums of bird-and-flower paintings by Zhao Shao’ang were commonly created in the mid- to late 20th century, especially 1950s–1980s. Estimated age: Likely painted around 40–70 years ago. Most similar works on paper albums by Zhao Shao’ang date circa 1960–1980.
