An exquisite white jade huang carved in an elegant arched form and richly decorated with intertwined dragons and phoenixes. The openwork design, flowing scroll motifs, and finely incised patterns reflect the remarkable craftsmanship and symbolic artistry of the Warring States period. Representing harmony, power, and nobility, this piece was likely created for ceremonial or elite use. Length 13.4 cm. PROVENANCE From a private Canadian collection. Formerly from Mr. Huang Zhi-Ming, a Taiwanese private collector. Mr. Huang acquired the jade pieces in Hong Kong. Some from Mr. Lai Loy (1926 - 2012), a jade dealer on Hollywood Road well known for handling and supplying archaic jade pieces to collectors, museums and other dealers and some some from private collectors in Hong Kong.
