Of square section with a short neck. The two roundels on the wider sides depicting an elder and his attendant making tea, and two children flying a kite. Four-character Qianlong mark to the underside. Coral and metal stopper. H. 7.5 cm Snuff Bottle Collection of John Mckeggie Rogers (1905-1977) He was a senior partner of the Toronto brokerage firm Doherty Roadhouse. He was a great collector of antiquities. He started collecting snuff bottles in the 1940's alongside his friend Ken Thompson whose collection now resides in the AGO.
