Of tapered square form, with a marbled design and two archaistic handles carved to the narrow sides. Agate and metal stopper. H. 6.5 cm Exhibited at the Royal Ontario Museum, Toronto, in Prized Possessions From Private Homes, October to December 1968. Snuff Bottle Collection of John Mckeggie Rogers (1905-1977) He was a senior partner of the Toronto brokerage firm Doherty Roadhouse. He was a great collector of antiquities. He started collecting snuff bottles in the 1940's alongside his friend Ken Thompson whose collection now resides in the AGO.
