Of flattened pumpkin form with leafy sprays sprouting from the yellow ground. The red overlay depicting a butterfly on each side. Matching stopper with a floral finial. H. 4.5 cm Snuff Bottle Collection of John Mckeggie Rogers (1905-1977) He was a senior partner of the Toronto brokerage firm Doherty Roadhouse. He was a great collector of antiquities. He started collecting snuff bottles in the 1940's alongside his friend Ken Thompson whose collection now resides in the AGO.
