Of flattened ovoid form. Carved in lime green overlay to the white ground with Mandarin ducks and clouds on both sides. Jadeite stopper. Qing dynasty, 18th century. H. 6.5 cm Snuff Bottle Collection of John Mckeggie Rogers (1905-1977) He was a senior partner of the Toronto brokerage firm Doherty Roadhouse. He was a great collector of antiquities. He started collecting snuff bottles in the 1940's alongside his friend Ken Thompson whose collection now resides in the AGO.
