Of flattened oval form. Carved in a coral red overlay on a turquoise blue ground with archaic bronzes motif. Jasper stopper. Qing dyansty, 18th century. H. 7.5 cm Snuff Bottle Collection of John Mckeggie Rogers (1905-1977) He was a senior partner of the Toronto brokerage firm Doherty Roadhouse. He was a great collector of antiques. He started collecting snuff bottles in the 1940's alongside his friend Ken Thompson whose collection now resides in the AGO.
