Of baluster form, carved in a citrine yellow overlay on a clear glass ground. Decorated with two egg-shaped plain panels to the body, and two bamboo-shaped handles to the sides.Jadeite stopper. Qing dynasty, 18th century. H. 7 cm Snuff Bottle Collection of John MckeggieRogers (1905-1977) He was a senior partner of the Toronto brokerage firm Doherty Roadhouse. He was a great collector of antiquities. He started collecting snuff bottles in the1940's alongside his friend Ken Thompson whose collection now resides in the AGO.
