Of tapered rectangular form. The body decorated with birds and peonies. Four-character Daoguang mark and of the period. Tiger's eye stopper. Qing dynasty,Daoguang period, 1821-1850. H. 7 cm Snuff Bottle Collection of John MckeggieRogers (1905-1977) He was a senior partner of the Toronto brokerage firm Doherty Roadhouse. He was a great collector of antiquities. He started collecting snuff bottles in the1940's alongside his friend Ken Thompson whose collection now resides in the AGO.
