Raised on four ruyi head legs. The body with fluted edges and decorated with four bats, scrolling foliage and floral sprays against a lime green ground. The everted lobed mouthrim with scrolling florals against a ruby red ground. The interior and underside glazed turquoise. Two drainage holes to the base. Six-character Qianlong mark to the underside. Qing dynasty, 19th century. H. 9.5 cm; diam. 18.5 cm From the private collection of a Hong Kong shipping family, acquired by descent.
