Of rectangular form. Carved in five-colour overlay on a milky white ground depicting a still life scene. Two lingzhi handles to the sides. Stopper. Qing dynasty, 18th century. H. 6 cm Snuff Bottle Collection of John Mckeggie Rogers (1905-1977)He was a senior partner of the Toronto brokerage firm Doherty Roadhouse. He was a great collector of antiquities. He started collecting snuff bottles in the 1940's alongside his friend Ken Thompsonwhose collection now resides in the AGO.
