Of cylindrical form. The body decorated with five quails. Serpentine and metal stopper. Qing dynasty, 18th century, possibly made by the Imperial Palace workshops. H. 9 cm Snuff Bottle Collection of John Mckeggie Rogers (1905-1977)He was a senior partner of the Toronto brokerage firm Doherty Roadhouse. He was a great collector of antiquities. He started collecting snuff bottles in the 1940's alongside his friend Ken Thompsonwhose collection now resides in the AGO.
