Of double gourd form. The front depicted with a moulded foo dog chasing a ball in high relief and reticulation, the reverse with a crane. Four-character Shunzhi mark to theunderside. Natural carved figural stopper. H. 9 cm Snuff Bottle Collection of John MckeggieRogers (1905-1977) He was a senior partner of the Toronto brokerage firm Doherty Roadhouse. He was a great collector of antiquities. He started collecting snuff bottles in the1940's alongside his friend Ken Thompson whose collection now resides in the AGO.
