Of flattened oval form with two gilt moulded handles to the sides. The body decorated with a pond scene with catfish, shrimps, and other fish on a wavy sgrafitto ground.Jadeite stopper. H. 7 cm Snuff Bottle Collection of John MckeggieRogers (1905-1977) He was a senior partner of the Toronto brokerage firm Doherty Roadhouse. He was a great collector of antiquities. He started collecting snuff bottles in the1940's alongside his friend Ken Thompson whose collection now resides in the AGO.
