A collection of works attributed to the Chujo-Ryu school of obstetrics and women's health, founded by Chujo Tatewaki , and Japan?s first identified abortionist, active during the Azuchi-Momoyama period (1568?1600). (Wardle, 1993). By the late 17th century, there were several published works in this field, including on abortion. A scarce text.
