Volumes one to four, five, seven, eight, and ten, of ten volumes published. In pale brown paper over card with title labels pasted on. Side stitched. Published from 1800 to 1823. By Tsuda Gensen, (1737?1809), eminent Edo period 18th-century Japanese physician and medical educator. He is best known for his pioneering contributions to traditional Japanese Kampo medicine, particularly his instructional guides on clinical practice (ryoji), and among the first Japanese medical works to record mental diseases and their treatment. Provenance: Private collection, Japan. 品相: Most volumes very good, some with worm holes, more so to covers, little or no loss of text, front cover of vol. ten stained, vol two with remnants of title label loosely inserted to front. Bindings firm.
