Both volumes bound in russet brown card embossed with a Buddhist swastika pattern with title labels to each. In traditional Japanese stab bindings. The first volume, the __ (Ekikyo or I Ching) edited by Goto, 1871. Published by the Kagoshima Domain. The text in beautifully designed Japanese characters. Volume I contains the traditional I Ching hexagrams with accompanying commentary. Vol II has further commentary. Provenance: Private collection, Japan. 品相： Covers with light wear, some repeating worm holes to edges of pages, not effecting text, with Vol II having minor text loss adjacent to some page margins. Overall condition good.
