Featuring moulded Buddhist appliqués detailing small leaves and a vajra nestled within lotus petals. Before an attractive green glaze was applied, the exterior was coated in a white slip that stops just short of the unglazed foot. The interior surface is only partially slipped. Because the underlying slip enhances the brightness of the green glaze, areas left bare display a significantly darker tone (visible around the foot) or a more yellowish hue (visible inside the vessel). C.13th / 14th century, during the Song Dynasty (AD 960 - 1279) or the Yuan Dynasty (AD 1279 - 1368). 37.5cm tall. 品相： A good example of this type in good order with no sign of restoration or repair. Just the usual kiln scars, with minor chips to the edges of the vulnerable cover and foot.
