拍品描述
The heavily potted jar of ovoid form is fired from grey clay, displaying characteristic surface mottling from uneven kiln reduction. The exterior is deeply incised with horizontal bands of a regional Sanskrit derived Buddhist script, interspersed with Chinese characters. Unusually, the inscription continues across the flat base which is rarely seen on such jars. The matching flat cover is incised with an eight-pointed Wheel of the Law (Dharmachakra) radiating from a central Sanskrit syllable. Dali Kingdom to Yuan Dynasty, c. 11th ? 13th Century. 26cm tall. 品相: Overall good condition with no signs of repair or restoration. Slightly warped at the rim.
