Made from quite a highly-fired yellowish-brown pottery. It has a flat base, wide body and tall cylindrical neck. There is one loop handle joined at the shoulder and neck base, and a small protruding ?lug? on the opposite side. Decorated in bold geometric patterns using two different coloured pigments.Banshan phase (c.2600 - 2300 BC) of the Majiayao culture, also known as the Gansu-Yangshao culture.Height 24 cm. 品相: In good condition. No sign of restoration or repair. Firing crack to base.
