A RARE CHINESE NEOLITHIC / BRONZE AGE SIBA CULTURE PAINTED POTTERY JAR.

Made from a pale orange-brown pottery, the upper body with a smooth burnishedsurface, has a wide body, short cylindrical neck and two loop handles joined at theshoulder and mouth. Below one handle, at the waist, is another much smaller handle, orlug. The outer surface, and inner mouth, have been decorated in a dark mineral-basedpigment with interesting and unusual geometric patterns. Siba Culture (c. 1900 - 1500 BC). Diameter 19.5 cm x height of 16.5 cm. 品相： In places it appears that the burnished surface has "delaminated". Possible signs of repair to the surface but no obvious sign of repair when looking at the inner surface.
