GERSTL RICHARD (1883 - 1908) Austrian "Meadow with fruit trees" oil on canvas probably dating around 1907 with a " RG " monogram attributed to Richard Gerstl The original canvas is marked on the back by the firm 'Kreul'. According to the family, their grandfather met Gerstl in Gmunden in 1907, where he purchased this work directly from Gerstl. At the request of the buyer, the artist monogrammed this work. Prov : since 2006, this work had disappeared from the collection of the consignees' father (he regularly gave items away to staff members). The work recently resurfaced at a European auction as "unknown". There, it was repurchased by the family.
