The ivory coloured gauze woven with bats and Buddhists emblems, within a blue and green foliate silk ribbon and blue silk ground border embroidered with coloured silks and gold thread with jardinieres of flowers, fruits and butterflies, with pierced gilt brass toggles, 87 cm long Provenance: William Faull (1861-1927), a merchant trader between Britain and the Far East, thence by descent. 品相: The gauze has some patches of brown staining and discolouration overall, there is some tearing and repairs beneath each arm, some minor tearing to the neck and sleeves, the silk trims and ribbons are slightly loose, some minor pulling/loose threads. Tears to gauze along the arms in places, in need of attention.
