antique 'Supe' - bat from the Solomon-islands in wood with very nice patina and with the top with a carved "diamant"-shape has a collection/reference number 79 Collected in the 1950s in Malaita by Jeoffrey Dennis, an English botanist who lived in the Pacific for many years and was a major collector of Melanesian artifacts SALOMONSEILANDEN / MALAITA - 19°/20° EEUW superbe 'Supe' - knots in zeer mooi gepatineerd hout met een zgn. diamant-vorm en met oude vegetale vezels aan de uiteinden - hoogte : 80 cm - gemonteerd draagt het collectie- / referentienummer 79 in de jaren '50 gecollecteerd op Malaita door Jeoffrey Dennis, een Engels botanist die jarenlang in de 'Pacifique' verbleef en een groot verzamelaar van Melanesische artefacten was.
