Two Chinese Snuff Bottles: Mother-of-Pearl and Coral, 19th-20th Century 晚清-民國 珊瑚、貝母鼻烟壺兩支 -The first, 19th century, mother-of-pearl of flattened circular form, the shoulders sloping to a cylindrical neck, with a wide mouth, flat lip and deeply protruding oval footrim, the shimmering body continuously carved to depict a squirrel clambering on a grapevine -The second: of rich scarlet coral with paler inclusions, slightly flattened cylindrical form, flat protruding oval lip; carved in high relief with two chilong, conforming coral stopper, low oval footring M.O.P.
