Abdelmajid El Bekri (*1942) Tunisia, dated 2001 52 x 37 / 69 x 54,5 cm Mixed media and collage on paper, framed behind glass, signed and dated in the lower left. From an old South German private collection, acquired from Gallery Arcanes, Yasmine Hammamet, Tunisia A. El Bekri began his artistic career in 1964 with his first solo exhibition at the Salon des Arts in Tunis. He then took part in several festivals and biennials and contributed to the revival of modern Tunisian painting. Aus einer alten süddeutschen Privatsammlung, erworben bei Gallery Arcanes, Yasmine Hammamet, Tunesien A. El Bekri begann sein künstlerisches Schaffen 1964 mit seiner ersten Solo-Ausstellung im Salon des Arts in Tunis. Er nahm darauf an mehreren Festivals und Biennalen teil und leistete seinen Beitrag zum Aufschwung moderner tunesischer Malerei.
