A gilded bronze of Buddha Shakyamuni Thailand, around 1900 H. 20,5 cm The Buddha is depicted seated on a three-tiered pedestal with the gesture of earth-touching, Bhumisparsha Mudra. He is depicted in royal ornate; the numerous decorations on the robe, but also on the plinth and flame, are further enhanced in their splendour by the gilding. The gold leaf contrasts with sections in black or red lacquer. Südgerman private collection, acquired before 2007 - Min. rubbed, min. bumped Vergoldete Bronze des Buddha Shakyamuni Thailand, um 1900 H. 20,5 cm Der Buddha ist sitzend auf einem dreistufigem Sockel mit der Geste der Erdberührung, Bhumisparsha Mudra, dargestellt. Er ist in königlichem Ornat dargestellt; die zahlreichen Verzierungen an Gewand, aber auch Sockel und Flamme, werden durch die Vergoldung in ihrer Pracht noch gesteigert.
