A peking carpet North China, late 19th c. 577 x 453 cm A magnificent and elegant knotted rug, the inky blue ground decorated with a central phoenix, surrounded by arabesque, flowing floral ornamentation. The border is characterised by geometric and floral motifs. From an old German private collection, acquired prior to 2000 - Partially worn, signs of use, repairs and reweaving Peking Teppich Nordchina, Ende 19. Jh. 577 x 453 cm Prächtiger und eleganter Knüpfteppich, dessen tintenblaugrundiger Fond von einem zentralen Phönix belegt ist, umrahmt von arabesk geschwungener Floralornamentik. Die Bordüre ist durch geometrische und florale Motive charakterisiert. Aus einer alten norddeutschen Privatsammlung, gesammelt vor 2000 - Partiell leichtr abgetreten, Gebrauchsspuren, Reparaturen und Nachknüpfungen
