A wooden panel with a dragon on a stand South China, around 1900 H. 51 cm The elaborate carving consists of an insertable panel and an ornate stand. Both are made of wood and painted in polychrome, silver and gold. The stand is divided into three sections with ornamental decorations at the bottom and stylised rocks at the top. In the centre is a panel showing a dragon entwined around a silver sword in half relief. East German private collection, largely acquired from the 1970s to the 1990s - rubbed, some small chips to the paintwork Holztafel mit Drachen auf einem Stand Südchina, um 1900 H. 51 cm Die aufwendige Schnitzarbeit besteht aus einer einsteckbaren Tafel und einem verzierten Stand. Beide sind aus Holz gefertigt und polychrom, teils auch golden gefasst. Der Stand ist dreigegliedert und unten mit ornamentalen Verzierungen,oben mit stilisierten Felsen verziert. Mittig erhebt sich eine Tafel, die einen sich um ein silbernes Schwert rankenden Drachen im Halbrelief zeigt.
