A blue and white porcelain water pipe with Sanxing decoration and metal fittings China, four character Kangxi mark, 19th c. H. 18,2 cm The water pipe has a cylindrical basic shape with cut-outs in the upper half, which are intended for filling. The edges and openings (for the mouthpiece) are fitted with a metal mounting. The pipe is decorated all round with underglaze blue pattern depicting the Sanxing Gods. East German private collection - Signs of age and wear Wasserpfeife aus Porzellan mit unterglasurblauem Sanxing-Dekor und Metallmontierungen China, Vierzeichen-Kangxi-Marke, 19. Jh. H. 18,2 cm Die Wasserpfeife hat eine zylindrische Grundform mit Aussparungen in der oberen Hälfte, die zum Befüllen gedacht sind. Die Kanten und Durchbrüche (für das Mundstück) sind mit einer Metallmontierung versehen. Die Pfeife ist umlaufend mit einem unterglasurblauem Dekor, das die Sanxing Gottheiten zeigt, verziert.
